Ten questions, and the address to write to when yours is not among them.
Do I need an account?
No. Bravy has no sign-up, no password and no profile — you install it and start. Your journal is stored on your phone. AI practice processes shared content online; the privacy question below explains the distinction.
What do I need to practise?
An iPhone. For a spoken practice you need a working microphone, and headphones make the other voice easier to hear and keep it out of your own side of the recording. If you cannot talk out loud where you are, practise in writing: the same conversation, typed.
How does a practice session work?
You pick a scenario, read a short briefing, and then you talk — out loud or in writing. The other side answers in real time and holds its position — it is meant to be a little difficult.
After a practice long enough to analyse, you get a debrief based on what you said. Very short practices may not contain enough to assess. If a moment is marked for retry, you can try a different response there. Where a scenario offers it, you can switch chairs and try the other side. AI feedback can be wrong; it is a reflection aid, not an objective verdict.
Bravy cannot hear me. What now?
Open iOS Settings, find Bravy, and check that Microphone is switched on. If that is not it, close other apps that might be holding the microphone — a call, a voice memo, a meeting app running in the background.
What is free, and what does Pro include?
The journal is free and stays free: people, entries, planned conversations, commitments, the check-in, the calendar and every number that comes out of them. You can read the whole scenario library too.
Pro is the practising — holding the conversation, written or spoken, and the debrief that follows it. It comes with a monthly allowance for each of the two, and Bravy shows you both numbers before you buy and again in Settings, so you always know where you stand.
How do I cancel?
For an App Store purchase: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Bravy. For a web purchase, use the subscription-management link from your web billing email instead. Cancelling stops renewal; access continues through the paid period.
I got a new phone. Where is my subscription?
Open Bravy's Settings and tap Restore purchases — your subscription comes back for an App Store purchase. Your journal and saved practice history depend on your device backup, not Restore purchases. We do not provide cloud restore for that local history. Temporary processing of practice content is explained in the privacy policy.
Bought Bravy Pro on the web? Open the activation link from your e-mail on your iPhone. Restore purchases only finds App Store purchases. If the new phone was set up without a backup of the old one, write to [email protected].
What happens to what I say?
In a spoken practice your voice goes to ElevenLabs, which speaks the other side. In a written one each message goes to OpenAI, which writes the reply. Afterwards the transcript goes to OpenAI, and that is where the feedback in your debrief is written.
A practice built from your journal carries only what you confirmed on the screen before it starts. The names you store for people stay behind: no request has a field for one. What cannot be taken out is a name in your own words — the notes you pick and what you say or type in a practice are sent as you wrote or said them, so a name in them is sent too.
The whole path, including how long anything is kept, is written out in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Data holds three rows: Delete practice data, Delete journal data, and Delete all data if you want to start over. All of them take effect immediately and none can be undone. The one thing none of them touches is your subscription, which you bought and which is not ours to throw away.
Our server keeps very little. Transcripts delete themselves after 24 hours, and IP addresses used against abuse go after seven days at the latest. What stays is whether you have Pro and how many practices and practice ideas you have used, counted against a random identifier rather than your name. If you want that deleted too, write to [email protected] — the privacy policy says how.
Something is broken. How do I report it?
Write to [email protected] and say what you were doing, roughly when, and which iOS version your iPhone is running. That is usually enough to find it.
